Community Service
As an integral facet of experiential learning at Park City Academy, students and faculty engage regularly in varied community service projects activities. Such service opportunities broaden our students’ awareness of others, heighten their sense of moral responsibility and concern for the environment, provide new opportunities for leadership development, and strengthen the fabric of our school community.
Many students excitedly recall tying fleece blankets for Primary Children’s Hospital, collecting books for the children of Vanustu, sorting and packing gifts at the Regional Distribution Center in Denver, CO for Operation Christmas Box, and organizing canned food drives for our local Park City food pantries. Through hands-on learning, the students also begin to realize the real impact they as individuals can have in their local, state and national communities.
The Academy fosters a culture of service and integrates service learning into daily classroom life. Thereby Park City Academy reinforces our institutional values of respect, connectivity, and kindness and paves the way for a lifetime of giving to others.
