Supporting the Academy

Independent Schools, like Park City Academy, exist to provide children with the very best opportunities possible to grow into successful, caring, responsible adults. Educational excellence in the 21st century requires new technologies and new texts to keep pace with our rapidly expanding world of knowledge. To thrive successful schools need the significant resources to attract, support, and retain the very best teachers.

At the same time, in order to create a socio-economically diverse school community, Park City Academy attempts to maintain a reasonable tuition and fee structure. Compared to similar programs around the country, a Park City Academy education is a remarkable bargain. Therefore in order to close the gap between real educational expenses and tuition income, the Academy depends upon the philanthropy of its members.

The Annual Giving Campaign each fall provides our not-for-profit institution a crucial opportunity to ensure the strength of our educational program. We hope that every family in the school community contributes to the extent of their financial ability. The health of our school is to some extent defined not only by how much money is contributed but also by the percentage of families involved.

Additionally each spring families are encouraged to participate in a fund and friend raising effort to benefit Park City Academy: on alternate years either the PFA auction or the Ski Hunt event at Park City Mountain.

All contributions to Park City Academy are tax deductible. We encourage working parents to ask their company’s human resources department about possible matching gift programs.

The generosity of parents, alumni, and friends helps provide the programs, faculty and facilities that make the Academy experience unique. As giving is a personal matter involving individual perspectives and hopes, we encourage members of the community to discuss with Charlie Sachs, Head of School, or Susan Radtke, Director of Community Outreach, any questions or ideas they might have to strengthen the Academy’s resources.
