2008-2009 Dress Code

 

GENERAL

The school year of 2008-2009 will be a transition year in which both the previous and the new logo uniform items may be worn.

GROUP DRESS

All students must have at least 1 Long Sleeve and 1 Short Sleeve Navy Polo with Logo and 1 pair of khaki pants. This uniform combination will be PCA’s school “group dress” uniform which will be worn on specific occasions.

Pants

Navy or Khaki Chino style. No cargo pants. No light khaki or stone khaki. No corduroy. Preschool-Kindergarten may wear navy sweats as an alternative. In higher grades, sweats, thermal underwear, or stretch pants are not allowed.

Shirts

Long or Short Sleeve polo in Light Blue, Navy, Pink or White w/logo. No double shirts. Shirts with tails must be tucked in.

Shoes

Low-cut loafer style shoes or boots; tie or athletic shoes may be worn with laces tied. Velcro/ tie shoes or athletic shoes are necessary for PE. The majority of the shoe should be black, white, navy, tan or brown. Slippers, sandals, backless or open toed shoes may not be worn.

Belt

If a belt is worn, it must be plain black or brown leather with a plain buckle. No other belts of any kind or belt buckle will be allowed.

Socks

Socks, nylons, or tights in solid navy, white, brown, black or tan must be worn. Peds and half socks are permitted, but must be clearly visible above the ankles. Socks over the knee or fishnet stockings are not permitted.

Optional

Navy fleece vest w/logo, navy hooded sweatshirt w/logo, navy fleece jacket w/logo, navy hooded sweatshirt jacket w/logo or navy sweater w/logo. If a jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater is worn over a uniform shirt in class, it must have a logo. Navy or khaki shorts (no cargo) may be worn between Easter and Halloween. Long sleeve light blue oxford shirt w/logo. Navy or khaki jumper with logo for girls. Navy or khaki skirt or skorts for girls. Information on “Spirit wear” items will be forthcoming.
